Watch: 3 people, including a 15-year-old, shot at Kennywood

Kennywood Three individuals have been shot, together with a 15-year-old, Saturday evening at Kennywood Park in West Mifflin, Allegheny County police stated.

The taking pictures was the results of an altercation between two teams contained in the park in entrance of the Musik Specific journey, police stated.

A number of companies responded to the park round 10:49 p.m. Saturday after preliminary reviews of pictures fired.

Police at the moment are trying to find a suspect. Officers describe him as a black male sporting a black hoodie and a COVID-19-style masks on the time of the taking pictures. Officers recovered a handgun contained in the park.

The three victims embody a 15-year-old who was shot within the thigh, a 39-year-old who was shot within the leg, and, officers stated, a second juvenile who arrived at a hospital with a graze wound. A number of different individuals have been handled for “trampling type” accidents, police stated.

Saturday was the park’s first public Phantom Fall Fest day of the season. The Halloween-themed occasion was scheduled to run from midday to 11 p.m. Saturday.

In a collection of tweets Saturday evening on Twitter, park officers wrote: “The park is closed for the evening and all friends have exited. We’re conscious of a scenario that occurred this night and are working with native regulation enforcement. The security of our friends and Workforce Members are our prime precedence. Members of the park’s safety, Allegheny County, and West Mifflin police departments have been already on web site and instantly responded.”

Whereas police stated a handgun was recovered contained in the park, all friends and staff to Kennywood “should cross by way of metallic detectors on the entrance gate, and all luggage, purses and coolers are topic to look,” the park’s web site says.
